The first few weeks of the new year have been rather stressful for me (my son was quite ill recently and there have been a few other issues,as well),so this morning I woke up and decided that an outing was in order. I went to the cinema and saw Hitchcock, which I thoroughly enjoyed and as the movie finished at about 1pm,I had a light lunch and then decided to pay a visit to the local yarn store. I am going to be particpating in a cowl KAL on Ravelry soon,so I bought some yarn for my project and then spent a very pleasant hour sitting chatting to the owner and a couple of the ladies who usually come to the Monday evening knitting group.I hadn't expected to see them there on a Friday afternoon and it was fun catching up with them again.
The yarn I chose for my cowl is King Cole Riot Double Knit and according to the label,it's 30% wool and 70% premium acrylic. I have never used this brand of yarn before,so am keen to see how it will knit up.
I am so glad that I went out today,as it's made such a difference - I feel really relaxed and happy!

Sometimes a change of scenery is all it takes :) Love the yarn, I have used it myself. I hope your son is better and your year starts to improve.
